HOUSING NEWS: Open Waitlists for Affordable Senior Housing:

- SF Silvercrest: Studio apartments (age 62 or older) available that include community center with lunch meal program, exercise facility, computer learning center, classes, support services and professional management.  Income limits apply. Call 415-445-2180 Monday through Friday, Feb. 20 to Feb. 24 to apply.

- Bernal Gateway Apartments: Two and three bedroom Affordable Housing Development, 3101 Mission St.  Applicants must be income and program eligible.  Pre-applications will only be distributed and accepted at Bernal Gateway Apartments located at 3101 Mission St. from Monday - Friday Feb. 13 - Friday Feb. 17.  Call resident manager Iraida Angarita at (415) 641-6129 for further information.  Available to seniors and families.

- Alexander Residence: Waitlist Open for single room occupancy units with private bathroom and kitchenette at 230 Eddy St. near Jones St.  No minimum income; rent 30% of income.  Waitlist open from 2/13/12 to 2/24/12.  Pick up applications at 230 Eddy St. between 9 am to 5 pm.  Contact for further info: 441-0260.

- Woolf Housing III - Waitlist Open for apartments at this senior housing complex at 801 Howard St.  One-bedrooms and studios available for those 62 years of age or older and for persons with disabilities.  Units have kitchen and bathroom; laundry room on site; social services, recreation.  Maximum income: $39,600 for one person, $45,250 for two.  Rent is $515 per month maximum or 30% of income with Section 8 voucher.  Pick up applications at 241 - 6th St. or 801 Howard St.  Contact: Gabriel Bloom, 278-9200.
